The ancient South Asian art of Mehndi, known in the United States simply as Henna, dates back many thousands of years. Henna paste is made from the powdered leaves of the Henna plant, along with sugar and pure essential oils. We always make our own Henna paste to provide you with the highest quality and safest Henna possible.
This Henna paste is applied to the skin in intricate designs. Popular designs include flowers, plants, animals, traditional Indian designs, and tribal designs. After the Henna paste has been applied, the paste must sit for several hours before being removed to ensure dark stains on the upper layers of skin. The dried paste should be allowed to flake and fall off on its own, to expose a light to dark orange stain, which will darken to a deep brown over the next 24-72 hours. Henna stains, or Henna tattoos, will remain visible for anywhere between a few days and three weeks.
As Henna designs are so intricate, our artists can typically apply between four and ten designs each hour. This number will vary depending on the designs your guests chose; larger & more complex designs that are chosen, the fewer that can be applied in a given amount of time. We do not |

NOTE: We will NEVER use the dangerous and illegal "Black Henna." "Black Henna" is offered by some other local artists, and commonly found at discount prices on Craigslist. "Black Henna" is made by mixing various poisons, and can lead to permanent scaring, or worse.
Our Henna artists are extremely popular with teens and adults. We will not Henna a child younger than 12 years old as they have a difficult time not smearing the Henna paste on clothing.
